Codely.TV aims to be a video channel featuring tutorials and interviews about computer science, specifically programming. Here is a presentation video of the project (1 minute):
In short, Codely.TV is founded with two clear objectives:
Knowledge Transmission
A video will be published every Thursday. In these videos, we will demonstrate through screencasts how to apply a specific design pattern, examples of applications of the SOLID principles, and similar material. These will be videos ranging from 10 to 20 minutes. Concise and showcasing very limited code examples for discussion. Many times, these videos will be based on questions posed by students, and in order for others to benefit and enrich from it, a video will be published instead of resolving it privately via email :)
Dissemination of Computer Science
Every month, an interview with someone from the industry will be published. They will mainly be related to the world of programming, but we will also try to feature people from education and other aspects covered by the field of computer science. These interviews will have a first part focused on individuals without prior knowledge of the profession. The purpose of this is to provide a minimally close and realistic view of the world of computer science. They will also have a second part designed to delve into some more technical details of each interviewee. I'm not Iñaki Gabilondo, but I'm sure something interesting will come out of it :)
